The Young, the old and the blonde

I get a text yesterday from my cousin who asked if I could take her 15 year old son and her 90 year old great aunt to the mall.  I said ok thinking it'd be easy.  What was I thinking?  The mall was actually slow.  Well, her 88 year old grandma and 13 year old daughter wanted to go.  Ok again how hard could it be.  Boy was I ever wrong.  The 13 year old and the 88 year old and I were sitting down and the 88 year old says, "I am going to Victoria Secret to find something sexy."  The women proceeded to go in and out of the store 3 times before buying a sweatshirt from them.  Um really, seriously you're kidding right.  I think the 13 year old and I are scared for life.  It was the funniest thing ever.

Oh, you offended. I'm not sorry.

So it offends you when people say Merry Christmas. Maybe you should wear a sign saying that you don't like it. I think that you should also wear a shirt with a list of things that also offend you so that no one will talk to you.  I'm mean really we are not mind readers so how the chili butt am I suppose to know what offends you.  I for one avoid places where I could be offended. Oh like an operating room. Wait that just grosses me out.  All that blood and metal. It gives me the willies.

So put your adult pants on and move on. Get over it. You live in the land of the free so suck it up or move to Cuba or maybe an isolated island. Those places you can't just say anything or you can make your own rules.

There is Christ in Christmas so move on. It was there way before you were even thought of. As far as I know it's been around for 2000 plus years. Good luck finding a place on this planet where people don't say it.

Babysitting a 4.5 month old and doing a vendor event at night = hot mess

I thought it was a wonderful idea to sign up for a vendor event at night with the candles. Normally not a bad idea. But I babysit a 4.5 month old. Anybody who thinks taking care of a bay is easy is oh so wrong.  I don't know how parents of it. It takes me 12 hours to get out of the house with the baby I watch.

I look at it like this. There are 3 stages:needy, hot messes, and fun. Needy are the babies. They need everything done for them, like feeding them and changing them. Then there are the hot messes, ages 3 to about 8. They still need their food cut, faces willed after eating(because they leave stuff when they do it), and they still need their butts wiped on occasion.   Not to mention the melt downs they have.  Then theirs the fun stage. Anything after the age of 10 or so. You can actually do fun things and not worry about cutting food or wiping faces. You just have to feed them.

Social media and me

Oh yea. I have been on Facebook a lot. Twitter not as much and here this blog not at all lately. What happened you all ask. Well me and babysitting happened. Not to mention something called Gold Canyon Candles.

It's amazing how much energy a baby takes. You have energy in your 20s and but the time your 40 it's no energy. Not to mention some of the things you need for a baby. It's like your moving out when you go out for 1 hour. It takes me 6 hours to get everything together. They need more stuff then a woman does and she carries a suitcase.

Um hello you really just said that

About a month ago my upline and I did a vendor event and we both gave a raffle item.  We were one of the last ones to leave since it took us while to pack up all of our candles.  My upline Kathy had noticed that a lot of the raffle items were still on the table.  There were not many people who came and shopped at this even so she was wondering why they were still there, ours were not on the table.  So a few days later Kathy emailed the person the person running the event wondering who had won the raffle and what items they were.  She replied back saying it was 2 people that won and they picked our items and she didn't know who won them.  Two weeks or so later I had seen another consultant who was at the same event and we got to talking about the other event.  She had asked if I had heard from the person who won my raffle item.  I said no and that there were a lot of items left.  She was like that explains why I haven't heard because mine was a gift certificate.  We talked in more detail and come to find out we were charged different prices for the event.  Wonderful I thought, not only was the person running it talking poorly about other event planners but she was charging different prices.

Jump to today and Kathy was doing this same persons event and the person came up to her saying that the girls that were in our previous spot were complaining about her not knowing who won our raffle items.  Kathy was like, in her head, what, it was me and you don't even remember that it was me.  Plus I wasn't complaining I was wondering if you knew.

After the first event I wasn't going to do any of her events again.  After her comments about us complaining I unfriended her on Facebook before I could post anything that would hurt my business.  I figure what comes around goes around.

The blob and me

Yes the blob is become more like a human baby all the time. He's going to be 4 months old next week. The blob nickname no longer fits him as he's kicking and moving his arms all over. Like he's wrestling with the air. It's quite comical. This past few weeks he's head butted my nose, hit me with plastic toy keys, and pulled the hair. I think he's winning. What the heck I'll let him.

The blob is becoming mobile

Like if my life isn't interesting enough.  I had 2 candle events that resulted in no sales and contacts, but 15 people purchasing a rainbow loom bracelets ($1 a bracelet) for The Prayer Child Foundation.  The blob is now mobile.  Yes, the 3.5 month old has rolled over.  Not once, not twice, but 3 times.  Plus he peed on the couch.  One would think that I would learn.  Nope, not at me, I'm blonde and have no kids of my own.  Only a lot of babysitting experience, and no I do not sit on them.  This little baby would cry every time anyone put him on his stomach for tummy time.  Then all of a sudden the past few days it's all smiles then today he rolls over.  First time it happened he had the look of surprise and oh Mylanta what did I just do.   The second time he was like oh Mylanta the more I do this the more these big people are gonna want to see it and they are going to want me to do more things like walk.

Stroller 1 Me 0

If you don't have kids, it seems like all there stuff is out to get you.  Last week I wanted to go to my house since my niece was over and with my parents.  I thought I'd take the stroller for the 3 month old I am watching so we could go to the park.  Yea well imagine a short blonder trying to put a bulky stroller in the trunk of my car. It did not fit too well.  I then tried to get it in my backseat. Did not work. So the stroller won and didn't make it.  Next car may need to be a minivan if I'm still watching the little pooping dude.

Yep that's me with the car seat and candles

Yep not only am I carting around candles but a baby too. The car seat has been a permenment fixture in the car with the baby mirror facing his feet. Well I need to know what his feet were doing. That's the most important part right. That's right I'm the clueless blonde watching this 3 month old.

I keep saying I'm getting him a onesy that has been blunted out saying gold canyon candles.

Late nights, Early mornings

I have been staying up way to late.  Earliest has been 11 pm.  Not good since I am up at 5 am to be at my friends house at 6 am to watch her son.  He is a cutie and all he does is sleep, eat, poop and giggle.  Oh, not to mention throwing up on me and then peeing on the bed.  Yep,  I completely forgot what happens when you change a baby boys diaper and don't cover him up right away.  How could the motherless 42 year old remember that one?

I also think he sneaks out and gets Taco Bell.  I think at 9 weeks he starts up his stroller and gets some Taco Bell to go with his night out of taking shots of formula.  Some of those diapers could make a whales eyes water with the smell.  Who knew that a baby that small could smell that bad that the whole city of Chicago can smell it.

He is a cutie and I wouldn't change anything.

Survival of Drivers Ed student

Yep.  I have survived the teenager drivers ed student.  My cousins son has started driving lessons.  He was so nervous that he wanted to borrow my football equipment I was wearing to protect myself in the passenger seat.  I could not beat to share so I let him use my tennis equipment.  Which consisted of a tennis racket and a pack of tennis balls.

Other then giving driving lessons I have been busy going to candle events and watching my friends baby.  He wants driving lessons too.  But I told him that using stilts wasn't an option for driving so i gave him a stack of encyclopedias.

Billy Bob's return

Billy Bob has made a return. He has returned from his trip to the Grand Canyon and Disney World.  Not sure if he paid for a ticket or not.

My days

My days consist of driving car around doing things.  Things like taking my friend to the doctor or my cousins to the pool.  I of course have window clings advertising my candle business.  I love it.

Yesterday I had a vendor event during the day.  I did not sell anything but I was out there making me and the candles known.  It takes time and I love being out there talking to people stopping in and the other vendors there.

It's always good to be in a work place where people think the same as you do and love what they do.  Not to mention fun.  There are always laughs at these events.

The Gold Canyon Candle Convention

I loved the convention. It was a blast. I'm so up pumped up and ready to work this business. I'm even In the video. Like 6 times but who's counting.  I have one good part. I'm the one walking on the red carpet into the home office twirling a shirt above my head.  No it's not the one I was wearing.  It was one they gave us.

I'm going to work this candle business like there's no tomorrow. I know I'm going to go far and be successful. So check out the video. This is how much we have in direct sales and we also get paid for it.

The joys of working my own business

It's so nice working my own business. It is a direct sales business and I love it. I can make my own hours. People tend to shy away form these types of companies. Yes as a Gold Canyon Candle Fragrance Consultant I do home parities.  But I also do catalog parties, individual meetings and fund raisers. You can even order online.

The candles are wonderful and have the best wax ever. The are even made in the great US of A. What more cab you ask for.

So have it and check it out, www.kellyf.mygc.com.  There's nothing to be afraid of. Once you burn one of our candles you'll never go back to the ones you have now.

The summer, jobless and Gold Candle Canyons. Oh and the royal baby!

So far I have not found a full time job.  I have applied for jobs.  I am continuing to work on my candle business and slowly things are picking up with that.  It all takes time.  But at least I am working on something.  I believe I can make the candle business work.  I will continue working it.  I love doing it and talking to people about a product I love.

Since I have been off I have been able to take time to spend with my cousins.  A few more that others but that ok.  I also have gotten some color which I love and spending time in the pool.

This coming Wednesday July 31 I leave to go to Phoenix to go to the Gold Canyon Candle convention.  I am super excited.  There have been some changes in the home office so it will be great to see what the changes are.

I'm guessing the Kate and Will didn't talk to anyone who did have kids. Because if they did they'd know that kids suck the life out of you.  Oh, wait, they are royalty so they probably have a gaggle of nannies.  Don't get me wrong kids are great.  Only when they are someone else's.  I'm totally a fan of them but heck I can't take care of ,myself and I have 42 years of experience.  They are younger than me so it's good they have a gaggle of nannies so he doesn't pee or puke on them.  But as long as they are happy and I'm sure they are. Babies are truly a blessing.

Billy Bob's Summer adventures

Billy Bob has made it to the pool, the Ren Faire, and Chili's on this leg of his summer adventures.

Who let the dogs out?

I'd like to know who's smart idea it was for me to walk dogs because I'm allergic to them. Oh yea, it was me. So I load p on allergy medicine and walk the dogs. It's not a bad gig. Really.  The dogs are happy to see me and don't walk me like you see some dogs going to their pets.

Now if only I can get them to buy a candle.

Random orders

I love random orders. I received an email today stating an order shipped. I was uber excited. It shows that I'm working my business.

Life keeps on moving

Even with working on my candle business, I am keeping busy.  I work on it part of the day then I'm out running my cousins around or dog walking. It has been actually great.  I feel things will totally work out for me.  I am enjoying my life and not taking anything for granted.

The other thing is that I am not stressed at all.  I should be but I'm not.  I still have money and I have some coming in.   Not as much as I would like but in time I will.  I will just keep working on it.  And taking pictures of Billy Bob.

Friday, June 28, 2013

Really.

Now that I have been working on the candles more I've been seeing some stupid people. One guy contacted me via email stating he wanted to sign up as a consultant. I replied with times I had available to talk and what does he do call 4 times during a time I was not available. So I called him later and he said he was having a catalog party so he could enter it as his first party and that he received a catalog from another consultant but couldn't get in touch with them. So I sent him some and he hasn't received them. He seems to think I have some kind of in with the post office.

I don't kind helping people but not stupid people who think I have nothing else going on but talking to him.

Yep still working it

I have a few networking events in the next few days with the chamber of commerce. I'm excited about it. You never know what you'll get from them

I also stated dog walking. I have one dog so far. She's a golden retriever and name is Tabasco. She's a great dog. I don't walk her every day, but a few times a day.

All in all things are slowly falling into place.

Life with candles

The life with candles is slowly getting better.  Since I have been working it more I'm starting reach out to more people.  I know it's a matter of time before someone does a fundraiser or puts in a big order.

I have 2 chamber of commerce events next week and I am excited about it.  Tomorrow I am doing an event in Woodstock. I cannot wait and it's free. I have to take advantage of the free things when I can.

I will also be walking my Aunt's dog once a day. So I'll be making money and be able to make more contacts.

Thursday, June 13, 2013

Still working it. I think.

So far I have had 1 phone interview. It was for a retail position. Not really what I was looking for but it gave me experience talking about myself.

The candles. Yes those smelly things. I have 3 chamber of commerce events this month. So hopefully I get some parties. Because that is the best part of the whole candle selling business. I have my new cards that are quite wonderful.

Go me. I love things that smell good. Like Gold Canyon Candles.

The candle journey

The Gold Canyon Candle journey continues. I have one book party going on and a vendor event on Saturday. I also joined a networking group with other direct sales women.  Convention is less then 2 months away and I cannot wait.  I plan on having more partied and getting more online orders.

I also have plans on getting into a hotel in Delevan Wisconsin to be able to showcase the candles. It will help a lot.

The search continues and selling candles

Since I was let go from job right before the holiday I have applied for a few jobs. Nothing really jumps out at me that I want to do. So I have been working on my candle business. I have one catalog party going and someone interested in doing a fundraiser. This is a good sign. All in time I will have the greatest candle business or I will be poor.

I will continue to look for jobs but we will see what happens.

I'm lost and I cannot find my blog

Yes it's been awhile. I got lost trying to find myself. Ok I have just been busy. I've taken up the hamster wheel again aka bike riding. Nit often but enough to Interfere with things like blogging. Give it time andI will  be back full swing. Maybe half swing.

One dollar, one minute, one smile

Giving doesn't always mean giving money or spending hours volunteering. It can be something as simple as a smile or taking a few minutes to hold a door for someone.

I find that doing the smallest things are just as rewarding as the bigger things. Yes I do volunteer 4 hours a month to help the homeless but I have time to do it. Of course there were sometimes when I had to make the time. I know that I made a difference in someone's life as well as mine.

So the smallest things help. Even if its $1 or a smile. It all adds up.

Journey, roller coaster or food fight. Life is fun.

How ever you think of life as, one the if for sure it is never boring. Yes, life is a journey but its fun to think of it as a roller coaster or a food fight that you don't have to clean up.

For example of could get hit with meat. Not sure where this would happen but it could become of those down moments in life. Lesson is not to be in an area where they are throwing meat. The plus side you can shower and get all cleaned up. A cake would be so much better to get hit with. Other then being messy there's no downside. It's something you could eat.

Yep I lost and then found some of it back

So fare weightloss journey continues. The first week I lost 3.9 and the second week I found .2 back. I wasn't trying to find it but I did. But I know I wasn't 100% working the new lifestyle. The habits did not form overnight so the may take awhile to come undone and new ones to take their place.

They just need to get on that express train outta here. But I'll take the slow train so the habits stick like glue.

Jello, water and cucumbers

Really how much water and jello can I take in. Not to mention cucumbers. i have to drink 2 shakes a day, eat a bar and a soup. Each one is about 160 calories. I also get a meal. Total calories is about 1000 a day. It is under medical supervision. but still i can eat as much as I want of cucumbers, lettuce and raw cabbage. Out of those 3 I like cucumbers and lettuce. Then if i am really hungry I can have sugar free jello. One serving.

The water is enough to drive a person to float away. Soon my organs will needs boats to function. I now spend more time going to the bathroom than i do sleeping. I sleep 8 hours.

In the end i know it will be worth it So in the mean time I'll try not to let my organs float too far away.

Where's the food!!!???

Day 2 of the lifestyle change. Aka heathy eating, exercising. More like Starving! Ok maybe I'm being dramatic. Yup I haven't stuck 100% but I have eaten way less and really don't want chocolate. Ok I lied I want chocolate. A big old pile of chocolate.

In the end it will be worth it. I feel better even after 2 days. Of course the emotions kind of suck. But food really didn't cover those up. Who knew that chocolate didn't take those away. Where's the chocolate!!!!!???

At least I'm more in tune with my emotions. Like I really needed that. Ok maybe I did. They are wonderful.

Really if we weren't meant to eat it then why was it made. The chefs figured it all out. Combining milk with cereal or making a cake.

Monday, March 25, 2013

Let the weightless journey begin! Again.

I have tried over the years to loose weight. Boy have I learned a lot. I feel like I have been on the dieting roller coaster only to find I should have been on the healthy lifestyle roller coaster. Tonight I start a program through my doctors office. I go to classes every week and relearn a lot of healthy choices.

It's not always easy. People say eat less calories. Right you little twig. Sometimes people need a little more help than just that. I have learned that the is also a mental part to it, for me anyway. Heck I eat with every emotion.

Yup this time it's gonna stick. The fat is gonna stick somewhere else. In outer space would be nice.

Sunday, March 24, 2013

Really. Politically correct. That's insane your an adult deal with some shit.

Political correctness is nuts. Soon there will be nothing anyone can say because no one can deal with anything. It's like we are taking away people's common sense. I have enough common sense to know what I can and cannot say. I have big girl pants on and can deal with whatever I am supposed to be called because I am an overweight white female who's 42.

I have no issues stating my age or weight. For me it is not embarrassing or anything. I think it's more about respect than being politically correct. Sometimes reality is reality and you just have to call trash what it trash.

Not to mention Christmas is Christmas. Yes, it's a holiday but so is Easter and Hanaukkah. If your not Christian or Jewish have respect and not have issues with it. Especially if you want people to respect your beliefs. Get over the politcal correctness.

Coupons and chin hair

It takes a special person to take all that time to extreme coupon. Who has the time for that? I mean really when do you have time to do anything else. Like go to the bathroom or take a shower. What about sleep. All those are important things in life. I for one don't want to smell nor do I want to smell anyone else. Plus, I like to have a little fun with my better half.

I have seen the show Extreme Couponing and for me I don't get spending 8 hours in a store shopping then 4 hours checking out. I do not enjoying shopping at all. Don't get me wrong I like to save money but for me I also enjoy other things. Like reading, working, spending time with my family and friends. If you spend hours and upon hours looking for deals and clipping coupons when do you get to enjoy the fresh air outdoors. Do you even know what color grass is? There could be a monkey jumping around in the backyard.

Then these people have stock piles of items. Isn't that like organized hoarding that can lead to a biggier hoarding issue that will land you on another show. Think of all the exposure you'll get by being on two shows, I don't even know if they are on the same channel. But that doesn't matter because you could be famous for extreme couponing and hoarding toliet paper. It seems like these people have more toliet paper than anything. What are they going to do, TP the entire neighborhood.

I wonder if that's how you become a hoarder by extreme couponing. Makes sense to me. But what do I know I have 1 coupon and no stock pile that I will never have to worry about dwindling down.

Your fake eyebrows and chin hair

Really you’re penciling in your eyebrows. What happened did your hand slip when you were shaving your legs? It sure looks like it since you now look like you took a magic marker and used your face as a coloring book. Either you need to stop shaving your legs and missing or just leave your eyebrows off of your face. Having none would be a better look for you.

Better yet you can take your chin hair and do a comb over to our eyebrows. Really do you not see that chin hair that's like 1/2 inch long. It's not like there's on but a lot of them. That is one area that you need to have shaved off when your hand accidentally slips.

Christmas lights

People are either really early or Christmas or late. We had gone out today and saw various houses with Christmas decorations. One house had lights on it. Another had not only lights but a sign and lighted trees in the yard.

These houses were not in a bad area but a really good area. The weather in Chicago this winter hasn't been too terribly bad. We've gone through valentines day and March started yesterday.

Maybe at Easter they could put bunny ears on the Santa and hang Easter eggs from the lighted Christmas trees. You then can keep it up year round and celebrate year round. Neighbors won't be happy but at least people can laugh.

Scars of Julia and Secrets of Jake the trilogy

My very good friend Genevieve Abbinante Steitz wrote a trilogy of books. It is very good and keeps you wanting more. I got to read it before it was published on Kindle. I then went and purchased it because it was so good.

This is her first series of books and I am so very proud of her for doing it. Plus she's a really good writer.

She had given the courage to continue to try new things and keep improving myself.

So go search kindle for Scars of Julia and Secrets of Jake the trilogy. Book 1 is out and so is 2. You will fall in love with it just like I did and other people.

She also has a blog and a tweeter account under Scars of Julia and Secrets of Jake.

I lost my memory at 42

I always come up with great ideas to write about. But I usually at work on the phone when I think of it. Do I write it down? Nope I think I'll remember it. Guess what? That's right. I don't. Ok most of the time I don't. On occasion I do remember later on like on the car ride home, Then I cannot remember it when I go to blog or write about it.

What I need is to use Siri to get it all down on the car ride home. I'm sure she can get it into my blog or my word document. It cannot be that hard. Oh wait she cannot not even understand me when I say call Craig. Most of the time it comes up call Laura. Really those names are just so close, Its a good thing that the voice thing in my car is better or who knows where I would end up when I ask it to search for warms places. I'd probably end up with Santa in the North Pole.

But really I cannot be the only 42 year old with a bad short term memory. I can remember a whole but of useless crap from my childhood that my cousins and brother do not remember. Like who sat on their glasses on a camping trip or who was dancing on the picnic table during a storm while camping.

Artistic talent or lack there of

I can't say I ever was able to draw. Doodle yes. Even as a child I would try and try. But nope. Heck even coloring within the lines was hard.

But I sure can talk. So that must have made up for it.

The card ministry

Here are some pictures of what I keep all the cards in. Also, I printed up bile verses on business cads to put in the cards. I have about 10 verses printed out.

Funnies/Thing I'd love to say

If you want perfect then you should have called aliens or god. Big foot might be a good choice.

Only one of us can be blonde and since I am a natural blonde I win.

Duct tape can fix stupidity. It fixes everythin so it'll fix you.

I'm perfect. What's your excuse?

Who knew it was this painful to talk to you.

We should be able to hand out gold stars to people, since most people act like 7 year olds.

Did you clean your house and then let a monkey play it in?

Can't you please stick a sock in it before my fist gets put into it.

Friends don't lie to each other. Hello haven't you noticed how brutally honest I am.

Put your head up your own ass and know your business and stay out of mine.

In my part of America, English would be the main language.

If I wanted your opinion or attitude I would have asked. So please leave and go suck donkey balls.

While your sucking donkey balls put your big adult pants on and act like one.

When I buy a new car I think it should be bubble wrapped for the first year.

Good thing about having an elephant in your house making a mess, he can also clean it up by knocking it down.

The new bestest car ever

Last week Wednesday I bought a 2013 Ford Fusion Hybrid. I was super excited. Then it snowed on Thursday. So the car got broken in to the Chicago winter only to have me so sick that I made a new butt indent on the couch. But I'm on the mend and enjoying the new car once again.

So far Billy Bob hasn't tried to go on any adventures. I've hidden the keys.

The card ministry at church

I have started doing the card ministry at church. My grandmother used to send cards to everybody she knew at church. Which was a lot of people. When she passed in 2011 some other ladies picked it up. I decided to jump in and help. It's such a nice thing to do for people. Who doesn't love getting a birthday card in the mail. I have even put a bible quote on business card and put them in the cards. The other ladies were writing them in the cards. I thought it'd be a nice touch to have it on a business card so if they wanted to keep it they can.

I find it relaxing to do. I guess it's because I know it's going to put a smile on someone's face.

Funny or weird

So if the world is round do we really walk straight?

If the world was flat would there be a fence to stop things from falling off the edge?

There's something strange about being in a tube of metel flying in the air.

I can relate to the guys on The Big Bang Theory guys. Only I am a little smarter then Penny.

Who knew that, wait what was I thinking.

One day the one blonde brain cell will multiply. When it does watch out something stupid funny may happen.

Only the aliens can handle my wealth of knowledge and power.

The fish have moved on to a new fishbowl. Maybe more blond brain cells will multiple since the fish are gone.

Purple cats don't like to be chased by lime green monkeys.

I do not think I have ever seen a purple cat. Unless it fell into a pitcher of grape Koolaide.

Blinking my eyes does not make magic happen, it is done with my nose.

I'm very adorable and cuddly. Just ask the willow tree over there.

Happy and bittersweet

Well I am getting a new Ford Fusion Hybrid SE. I'm excited about getting a new car but also sad because I will no longer have a Dodge. Since 2000 I have had a Dodge Stratus. The first one was a black 1995. I traded that in and got and 2004 Dodge Stratus. I know I will be happy with the new car. But hey change is good. If they still made the Stratus I'd probably get that.

Adventures of Billy Bob

I have been taking Billy Bob on some adventures with his friend Yoda. Here are some of the pictures. My cousins 14 year old son loves it. I actually enjoy taking the pictures.

He lived on the edge and visited the cat and then went a car ride and ate at Red Lobster. He really does have fun.

Food and figures

Back in the 1990s I had lunch with a friend at Taco Bell and we got a Yoda plastic figure. Well I have had it ever since by my computer.

About 7 years ago or so I had run out to get lunch at a hot dog place for my cousin her kids and I. Well I had her son with me and he wanted a toy out of one of the vending machines. So we got a little plastic guy. See the pattern yet. Food and little figures. The little plastic guy was named Billy Bob. He was lost in their house so many times that it has been years since he's been seen. They other day looking at one old oysters and he was found. It was a great laugh.

The things we do as teenagers

Four of us thought it would be funny to toilet paper the middle school one night. Mind you were we're freshmen in high school and were not attending the middle school anymore. So we get toilet paper and we start going to town. Well 3 of us were avoiding any of the lights the school had on outside of the building. I happened to look towards the street and see a police car driving down the street. I yelled cops and duck down behind a bush as do 2 of the others. The 4th person was standing in the light just as the cop car drove by. Duh!!!!! So as soon as it past we took off running. Good thing we all had gym shoes and 1 person lived right next door to the school. We did not get caught and when my younger brother came home from school on Monday he was talking all about it. All I could do is chuckle. Then admit it was my friends and I.

Conversation with the 4 year old neice

Last week the niece spent the night. We both went to bed at 8:30 or so. She's across the hall in the spare bedroom and I'm in mine and the following conversation occurred. She did have a good point.

4 year old- Auntie Kelly
Me-Yes
4 year old- Are you going to work to tomorrow?
Me-Yes I am
4 year old-You should stay home so you don't get your work friends sick.
Me- Honey they are already sick. So we will be sick together.
4 year old-Oh ok.
Me-Good night.
4 year-Good night.

The new year

Well last year ended with a cold a the new one did too. Sometimes I think there should be some type gap between years. I don't know what. Maybe a cliff or a small raven.

The cat was sick too. She had kidney disease and is starting to get worse. She is 17 and she has had a long interesting life. She has gone for car rides with pizza delivery guys and has followed me on walks. So I'm going to enjoy her while she's still here. I'm glad she's not suffering at the moment.
