Things I should say

From the way your chewing with your mouth open and making noises, I am going to guess you were raised by cows.

Your not a door so don't stop in the middle of an aisle or when you walk through an entrance.

Is that frown permanently stuck on your face?

Duct tape is a wonderful thing?  You should use some on your mouth to stop the whining.

Didn't your mother teach you, if you have nothing nice to say then lock your mouth and throw away the key?

Call your mothership to take you home.

I like you just fine, I just don't like your drama.

I'm not better than you; I'm just the most awesome person you know.

Are you an elephant or were you raised by them?  Because I can feel the vibrations on the floor before you walk past.

Hey, was that a red bee flying by your head. Oops nope that must have been in mind.

Yep I'm the favorite.  Oh wait I say that already.

Sometimes I think your working a drama TV show with all the shit you start.

Excuse me, where you talking to me or your other personality?

I know I'm a little strange but what's your excuse?

Nope speeding past me on your motorcycle doesn't do a thing for me other than laugh at how cool you think are but not.

Do you really think I care?

Get off your ass and do your job!

The only excuse is that you'd rather make them up to make yourself look better then those who actually do something.

Retail and the pool

Paying customer or not, you as the store manager don’t have to be rude when your associate is talking to someone who just came in.  There were 3 of us working and you could have called the other associate to check out the customer waiting.  Don’t tell me later that the paying customer was getting ready to leave because she wasn’t being helped.  People will wait a few minutes if you let them know you will be with them momentarily.  Plus people aren’t stupid, they can see if you have a 2 other customers being waited on.  This is just one of many things she pulls at the store.  She will tell me that the assistant manager and the key holders are not doing their jobs.  My answer is always the same.  Well, then you need to talk to them and not me.  She tells me stuff like there are 6 packages that weren’t picked up and that she doesn’t like the new binder of tracking the packages and it was easier when all the paper work was in the drawer in the back.  Yes, it was easier for you but not us.  Not to mention it wasn’t the procedure to keep all the paperwork in a drawer that only she could find anything and get pissed when we couldn’t.  I just walk around helping customers and shake my head at her.  Heck sometimes the customers laugh at her.

It seems to me that she is only telling me all this stuff and not the others.  I think she wants to see if I’ll run and tell anyone.  I am not here to be a tattletale or to tell managers or key holders how to do their job.  Yes, I was a manager about 20 years ago at Blockbuster but each retailer has its own way of doing things.  I go in do my job the best of my ability and leave.  I can sell the heck out of clothes, but don’t go talking smack about others in front of other employees or customers.   If I wanted more responsibility I would have applied for a job that had more responsibility.

Some customers love and her and others don’t.  I know a few people who no longer shop at the store because of the way she is.  I for one quit once because of the way she is.  I have learned how to deal with her.  If she wants to bust me on not getting credits then fine for it, but also go after everyone else.

Now if I could find a way to make money at the pool because that is a whole set of stories.

I think there are just as many characters at the pool as there are at Wal-Mart.  Yesterday while at the pool, there is a lady who is sitting on a chair relaxing.  She gets up and goes into the locker room and comes out wet.   She does this not once but twice.  After the first time she walks around the pool.  Then, continues to walk around the pool for the next 40 minutes.  She’d stop and look out at something, rub her stomach and lift up her arms.  She never once smiled back at anyone and looked like she has a pole up her ass.

Then there is always a family that comes in and has their clothes on swimming.  Of course the little kids have bathing suits on and a few adults do.  I just wonder why not go by a suit.  It is so much easier to rinse out when done swimming then clothes.  Heck I even have a suit and I would rather be covered in a blanket to swim but I wear it.
