Candles and purses

I am at a vendor event all today and I have sold one candle. But I did meet some people that work at the same company I do. That was kind of funny. Plus the one girl I have emailed before.

I would prefer to sell everything I bring with me but I don't let it bother me if all I get are contacts. I usually have a great time at these regardless of how much I sell. I at least get to make contacts.

Until next time smell some candles.

More things I would love to say

Yep I'm the favorite. Oh wait I say that already.

Sometimes I think your working a drama TV show with all the shit you start.

Excuse me, where you talking to me or your other personality?

I know I'm a little strange but what's your excuse?

Nope speeding past me on your motorcycle doesn't do a thing for me other than laugh at how coll you think are but not.

Do you really think I care?

Get off your ass and do your job?

The only excuse is that you'd rather make them up to make yourself look better then tense who actually do something.

Yep life sometimes sucks donkey balls. Pass them around with dipping sauce and move on.

Did that last one freak ya out? It freaked me out.

Yep I'm a blonde and I have more fun.

Nope really don't want to hear your conversation on your cell phone during a movies or while shopping.

Until next time keep on chuckling.

Get off the billing train

All I have to say is keep your nose out of my job. I know know to do it and where to go. Things change all the time and I know that I need to verify things. Step off. If I need your assistance in a billing issues I will ask you for any information. After that you need to step off and let me handle it. Not all projects go smoothly and there will always be clean up on billing and that is what I do. You do provisioning and make sure everything is installed correctly. Step out of the billing ring. Out of 200 plus locations 27 having billing issues is nothing especially since part of the issue was the other group not disconnecting their circuits. That was out of our groups control. So put your big girl pants on and let the people who know what to do on billing do it. We see the bills and know what to do. If you feel the need to clean it up then you can take over and pay some of them. I would gladly share. Ok I would put up a fight because I like to do billing.

Now that I vented I feel better. It's much better than eating or going off on the person who needs to get off the billing train.

Until next time have a laugh.

Tea, storms and a good book

Storms are scary sounding at times but are also very peaceful. It is like the storms pushing all the negative energy away and leaving only the good positive energy behind. The smell of a storm is good too. There is nothing like it. Plus, there is a calm before the storm. Everything taking shelter then slowing coming out after the storm has past and no sign of it returning. Everything looks and feels so fresh. Playing in the rain is fun too. Plus, it's cheaper then buying a pool.

Tea and a book is very relaxing. Add a bath to that and it's downright heavenly. If everyday started like that the world would be a much better place. Well if everybody found something relaxing to do in the am before starting their hectic days This morning I started the day off with a cup of Peets Green Peony tea and a book. Come to think of it a Pepsi and a book is wonderful too. Part of it is being disconnected from the electronics that have creeped into almost every inch of our lives. It was a very peaceful day. It was glorious.

Until next time keep on drinking tea.

City and family

The day started visiting the in-laws. It was a lot of just hanging out. Then it was a trip to the city. We got some coffee at Peets, and lunch at Hollywood Cafe. To top it off shopping and a drink at the bar. It's good to get out and see things in the city.

Next week will be a vendor event in Woodstock Illinois. I'll bring Gold Canyon Candles and Maddy Moo purses. The candle were a bigger hit but in time the purses will take off. I only sold a few candles and no purses. I love doing the events. This one will be 2 hours longer so that should be great.

Till next time smell some candles.

The bridesmaid dress

Yep last weekend it was picked. After looking at all the dresses my friend wanted us I try on this was the final one. Which is good because I actually like it. There's nothing worse then wearing a bridesmaid dress you don't like.

Magic weight loss

Hello people there are no magical pills, foods or teas to help you loose weight. It takes hard work and dedication. Yes, sometimes it's hard and other times it's easy. But the bottom line is that you have to watch what you eat and exercise. Yes, exercise. To some either one of these is bad and together it's hell. I have stuggled for so long with loosing weight. But I keep trying and yes there are times I wish I could eat an entire chocolate cake. I have come a longway from eating fast food in my car then going home and acting like I didn't eat a thing. I still have a long way to go. Am I perfect? Nope! If I was I would be at my target weight rather than at 240.

If there were any magical fixes not a single person would have an issue with weight or any weight related diseases, but there is not. So we all need to get off of our butts and change our habits. Go for it. You will never know what you can accomplish until you do. My last trip I went on a zip line it was great. If I hadn't lost some weight I would not have been able to do it. Think of something you would like to do and make it happen.

Until next kick your butt into action.

When life was easier

At the moment it is hard to be positive because I am not happy with my career. I spend so much time there, forty hours a week. Then figure in the comute, which is about which is 45-60 minutes hours depending on traffic. I try to come up with 3 positive things a day. Which is not too hard.

I don't know how people keep up with all these social media sites. MySpace I never got into. In fact I never even got an account and I dragged my feet with Facebook and I now find that kind of boring. Then I sign up for Twitter and I really don't get the point of that nor do I get the point of Pinterest. Both of these I wonder why I wasted the time getting an account. My blog I love keeping up on. But I get obsessed because I want people to comment and follow me on it. What ever happened to the days when we weren't so connected electronically. Did we forgot how to talk on the phone or hand write a letter to someone. I remember going to camp and getting other kid's addresses and writing them letters and mailing them.

Life seemed so much simpler then. Now we can email from our phones. It is like we don't even need a computer. There have been times when I leave my phone at home when running to the store. It feels strange but good. I feel like I'm missing something but it is a familiar feeling not being so connected too.

Then there are all the cable channels. It's overload. I get sucked into all the drama of the Real Housewives, Jerseylicious, etc. Back in the day all we had were fiction shows. If you wanted reality you watched the news and that was reality. Some days I feel like my brain is turning to mush with all these shows and computer things.

When we weren't swimming, playing tag or riding bikes we were playing board games or finding something else to do. It was great being a kid back in the 1970's and 1980's.

Until next time keep on playing tag.

My rant on bridal showers

How hard is it to plan a wedding shower? Not very. I have been a bridesmaid plenty of times in my 41 years of life. Pick a few dates and look at a few places and decide. This planning started at the beginning of March and it's April 12 and nothing has been set. All they know is they want it in August.

Not to mention if they want favors and what kind of invitations to do. Plus, should there be any type of games Oh, did I mention the bride and groom are not yet registered. The wedding is the end of October.

I am a bridesmaid in this wedding and am more then willing to help. I have planned showers before. But they are now on their own since the brides mom and maid of honor are sitting on their butts not doing anything but thinking and talking. Hate to say it but thinking and talking only get ya so far in the game of shower planning. My theory is I offered my talent of professional shower planning and if you don't take it not my problem.

I am making plans for August that I want to do. If I am out of town the day of the shower. Oops I'm sorry I didn't know what you were doing. I didn't know my life had to go on hold for this. My bad.

This whole thing has been a joke. I printed out save the dates and gave them to my friend the bride. Her fiancé proceeded to spill coffee on them after they were stuffed in the envelopes and addressed.

Yep, I can see it now. I'll be walking down the aisle in flip flops and a bathing suit. Let me tell you I do not look good in a bathing suit. Flip flops yes but a bathing suit.

Till next time don't forget to shower.

I am the one

I am usually the one that says something then gets made fun of for saying it or doing it. Like one day at work a few years ago I walked up to 2 co-workers and said hi what's up then proceeded to put my water bottle up to my face. They just busted out laughing. To this day they still make fun of me. I must admit it is funny.

My family still talks about how much I used to laugh as a kid. I just like to laugh. Plus, I get goofy looks on my face and then people comment like oh look there's Kelly deep in thought or thinking of her next dance move. Mind you I don't dance very well as I have no rhythm.

Till next time watch where you put that water bottle.

Things I would like to say part 2

Duct tape is a wonderful thing? You should use some on your mouth to stop the whining.

Didn't your mother teach you, if you have nothing nice to say then lock your mouth and throw away the key?

Call your mothership to take you home.

I like you just fine, I just don't like your drama.

I'm not better than you, I'm just the most awesome person you know.

Are you an elephant or were you raised by them? Because I can feel the vibrations on the floor before you walk past.

Hey was that a red bee flying by your head. Oops nope that must have been in mind.

Golf carts

There is nothing like taking 2 kids around 5 acres of land on a golf cart. They would scream when going down a little dip in the grassy area on my dad's property. Then they'd laugh there heads off and ask to go around again. The 2 kids are my cousins kids. This is the stuff I would do growing up. But of course we didn't have as much land since I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. But my parents knew people who had snowmobiles when I was under the age of 13. Then we got a 4 wheeler. Back then I wasn't a fan but now I would love to have one.

Of course just because I grew up in the suburbs didn't mean my dad didn't find a way to make things happen. When I was about 10 we had a pool party atmy house. Well a good friend of my parents has just bought a jeep. The one that had a roll bar and all that. Well my dad and my aunt's husband decided to take 3 of us for a ride. It was my younger cousin, my younger brother and I. Dads being dads didn't make us wear seatbelts, so we take off and my dad sees an empty lot and decides to drive through it. It was a lot of fun until I went flying up and hit my head on the roll bar. Boy did that hurt. To this day my dad feels bad about it.

To this day my brother, cousins, and I wonder how we survived. I say it's because my dad believed in the power of duct tape.

Until next time don't forget the duct tape.

Rules on re-gifting

1. Do not re-gift an item back to the person who gave it to you.
2. No more rules. Remember number 1!!!!!

Yes, this happened to me. I gave my uncle and his wife some chocolate mouse mix for Christmas 2010. Christmas 2011 they gave it back to me. I was like really. You couldn't write my name on it do you wouldn't give it back to me. It was tacky, but I still laughed.

Until next time keep on re-gifting.

Camping with my family

As kids my brother, cousins and I camped quite a few times a year.  When I was about 10 or 11 my dad and my grandparents both had an acre of land in the upper peninsula of Michigan.  The lots were next together and were on a lake.  This was not the normal Jellystone camping trip where some poor schmuck dressed up as Yogi and BooBoo and walked around the campsite.  These 2 acres had no water or electricity on it the first time we went up.

This first time camping up there, we went up with my 2 cousins, my aunt and uncle and a few other family friends.  Well needless to say there was no restroom either.  There was a group of trees that did offer some privacy.  So the my father and the rest of the adults took a lawn chair and cut a hole in it and put a garbage bag in the hole.  Yep, that was the bathroom.  The rule was if it got full you had to change the bag or if you had a bowel movement.  Needless to say it was quite interesting.  Especially with a bunch of kids under the age of 13.  You had to announce every time you went to the bathroom so that no one would walk in the area.  Put a bunch of goofy ass, drunk people together and even announcing did not ensure privacy because someone thought it would be funny to take pictures of people.

At the end of the trip we had to take the bags out with us.  So my Aunt sat on the back of our pop-up camper with the bag of poop and pee.  Well needless to say the bag leaked all over her.  Not only did she smell from only taking baths in the lake but now she smelled like an outhouse.  No one wanted her in any of the cars.  But my Uncle and cousins were stuck with her.  It was the one and only time my brother and I did not want to ride in their car.  Of course my cousins were begging to ride in our car.

Until next time don't let the bag leak.

Hot air balloons

How cool would it be to take a hot air balloon to work? Even here in the Chicagoland area. I can picture it now. My balloon would be purple with lime green polka dots and the basket would be pink with orange stripes. It would even have options to change the color of the basket as often as you want. Think about the gas you would save and the time to get to work

Only problem would be where to park it once you got to work. It's not like they make parking spaces that big. Oh, wait issue the Chicago winters are like 8 months long. I wonder how much heat the flame give off.

I think I'll just roller skate the 26.2 miles to work down the highway. It'd probably be safer.

Until next time keep on flying.

Toothless wonder

My 5 year old nephew lost his first tooth last week. He has been carrying it around to show everybody it before he gives it to the tooth fairy. He was so excited about it. I walked into his parents bedroom where he was watching tv and said to him hey toothless wonder he then opened his mouth real wide so I could see the missing tooth. He closes his mouth and smiled real big. He was so cute.

Where did the weekend go?

Yep seems like the weekend flew by. Out Friday night with co-workers to say goodbye to a manager that got a new job. Then Saturday a purse and candle event and Sunday another candle event. It was a lot of fun but hard to believe that it is April 1st.

Since today I was at a flea market it it always fun to people watch. Even of I don't sell a lot I at least get entertainment. Like the guy with the bright yellow mohawk. Wanted to say hello those were big in the 1980's. Then woman with a straw type hat with a ribbon around the brim and long feathers on the back. Yep quite comical.

Till next time zzzzzz.
